More about Trevor Costello
Coach Trevor Costello has been involved with the Thunder Men’s Basketball Program for over 20 years. Over the years Trevor has played with the Thunder program, where he and his team won an OCAA Championship, he was the Assistant Coach for four years and for the past 15 years he has been the Head Coach.
During his time as Head Coach, Trevor has won more than 400 games, claimed one OCAA Championship title and has medalled at the CCAA National Championships twice.
Aside from his team successes, Coach Costello also received the CCAA Coach of the Year award in 2012 and has been the recipient of the OCAA East Division Coach of the Year award six times.
He has coached many All-Star and All-Canadian players, and has sent many student athletes to the CIS to further their education and basketball careers. He is also the basketball coach at Alta Vista Public School.
Trevor gives thanks and praise to his mentor Hugh Lynn, former Algonquin College Head Coach, and to former Algonquin Athletics Director, Ron Port, who both have been a great support for him.
He is especially proud of his two children Tessah and Treyden and gives thanks to his long time Assistant Coach, Jim Langis.
