Karen Bouchard

Having spent her entire career in finance or in executive management positions with non-profits, Karen Bouchard cares deeply about philanthropy and collaborative community-building, and has for the last 25 years.

Executive Director of Fondation Québec Philanthrope since 2016, Karen has a bachelor’s degree is history and a university diploma in French literature. She has a wealth of experience in the field of philanthropy due to her previous experience as Executive Director of the Fondation du Cégep Garneau (2012-16), Head of Financial Services and Development with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec (2008-12), Director of Finance and Special Events as well as Market Development for the internationally renowned Les Violons du Roy (2005-08), Executive Director of Espace Bon-Pasteur (2003-05), Director of Private Finance and of National Market Development for the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent (1999-2003), Fundraising Manager for the Théâtre de la Bordée (1998-99), Marketing and Public Engagement Coordinator at the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre for the Arts (1997-98) as well as the Vice Director of the Centre d’Exposition de Baie-Saint-Paul / Syposium de la Jeune peinture au Canada (1994-95).
