Tina brings a decade of experience in community and stakeholder relations, strategic communications, project management, marketing and journalism to her position as Manager, Partnerships at Community Foundations of Canada. She has worked across sectors with a range of non-profit, private sector and media organizations including Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse, International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Corel Corporation, and Transcontinental Media, in addition to companies and news outlets in New Zealand.
Born and raised in New Zealand, Tina moved to Canada in 2005, following her passion for travelling and discovering new cultures and horizons. Ever curious, Tina enjoys trying out a variety of pursuits, including martial arts, music, French language studies, community design planning, and podcasting (Tina hosted “The Voice” podcast for the Ottawa chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC Ottawa) from 2013-2017). Tina volunteers with World Skills Ottawa to help connect newcomers with career opportunities, and actively engages in community consultations to enhance local neighbourhood revitalization and transit planning efforts. Since 2016, she has been pursuing a Certificate in Community Economic Development with the University of Waterloo. Tina received an international Award of Excellence in Membership Marketing from IABC in 2014, and a Distinguished Service Award from IABC Ottawa in 2015 for her community building.
Tina helps CFC drive its collective and growing partnership work by building and managing relationships, identifying opportunities for collaboration with others, and helping CFC exercise leadership and showcase the collective impact that CFC and public, private and community partners are instigating across the country.
