Rideau Hall Foundation
The Rideau Hall Foundation mobilizes ideas, people and resources from across the country to leverage our national spirit and realize our common aspirations. As an independent, non-political charity, the Foundation works closely with the Governor General and many external partners to support initiatives that build our identity, build capacity and promote the advancement of a caring nation .
Over the years our movement has developed a unique working relationship with Rideau Hall and Canada’s Governor General – one that began with the Governor General becoming Community Foundations of Canada’s first patron and which has matured through Smart & Caring Communities and the Queen Elizabeth Scholars program.
In 2013, Community Foundations of Canada and the community foundation network were invited to be among the organizations playing a role in the incubation of a new foundation for Canada – the Rideau Hall Foundation. We have been proud to be a part of the Rideau Hall Foundation’s establishment to support initiatives that build our identity, build capacity and promote the advancement of a caring nation.
