Peer Gatherings and Francophonie Summit part of engaging pre-conference lineupTuesday, February 28th, 2017 | Erin Kasungu
We’re less than three months away from welcoming everyone to Ottawa-Gatineau for the 2017 Community Foundations Conference.
More than 400 participants have already registered, including over 80 international delegates from all corners of the world – it`s going to be a truly global experience!
Our team is working hard to finalize the program schedule which will feature 40+ concurrent sessions ranging from big picture conversations on social innovation and tri-sector collaboration to practical presentations on donor engagement and rural economic development.
The full conference program will be available online here in the coming weeks
If you’re interested in getting a little more out of your visit to Ottawa-Gatineau, we’re also hosting a number of learning events and activities on May 10 and May 11 before the 2017 Community Foundations Conference.
More opportunities will be shared soon, including a Canada 150 workshop with the 150Alliance and a series of Master Classes for participants wanting to deepen their learning in core areas of community foundation work.
Peer-to-peer learning for staff of all levels
Community Foundations of Canada’s 2017 Peer Gatherings will provide professional development opportunities for community foundation staff along with a chance to reconnect and share knowledge about specific areas of practice (communications, donor services, finance, grantmaking, and executive leadership). Peer Gatherings will take place the afternoon of May 10 and must be registered for separately from the full conference event.
Join us for the Francophonie Summit
We’re bringing together francophone philanthropic leaders from Canada and around the world to discuss key issues in community philanthropy and opportunities for collaboration. This meeting will take place entirely in French from 10:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m on the May 10 pre-conference day. If you are interested in attending the Francophonie Summit please email Sara Lyons for more information.
